WE REPAIR WHAT REPLACEMENT STORES WANT YOU TO THROW AWAY.

A split chair rail, a drawer that collapses under its own weight, or a claw foot lost during a move rarely means the whole piece is done. Our team studies how each item was built, then rebuilds joints, replicates missing parts, and blends finishes so the repair disappears into the original. That approach saves Brandon families thousands against replacement cost and keeps well-made furniture in service rather than in a landfill. It also means sentimental pieces, from a grandparent's rocker to a first apartment dining set, stay in the family instead of heading to the curb.

THE DETAILS YOU NEVER NOTICE ARE THE ONES WE SWEAT.

We arrive prepared with the right tools and materials, inside the arrival window we promise, in clean uniforms and clean vehicles. Protective booties go on at the door, dust stays contained, and work areas are left broom clean each day. Every team member passes a nationwide background check, and our crew avoids smoking, loud music, and foul language on every job.

JuWayne Tanner, Owner & Founder

Creola Design was created to bridge the gap between a small but significant project and a full scale home renovation.

JuWayne has a background in woodworking as a third generation cabinet maker and furniture builder. While others grew up playing in the sandbox, he was playing in the sawdust on his father’s shop floor adding glue to make those sculptures last. JuWayne has studied under several world class woodworkers and lived in multiple parts of the United States working with different wood species native to that region and learning customary techniques.

But that’s only part of the story…. JuWayne is also a 16 year Air Force Veteran where he served as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer (Industrial Engineer). He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy, CO where he earned a Bachelors in General Engineering complimented with a Minor in Art.

With a varied background in engineering, art, and woodworking JuWayne has a unique approach to residential interiors. He brings a meticulous detailed approach with a focus on design.

What We Do

OUR FURNITURE REPAIR SERVICES

From a single wobbly chair to a full kitchen of sagging cabinet doors, our services cover the furniture, fixtures, and finishes that make a Brandon house feel finished and personal.

Bright modern living room with beige sectional, round ottoman, abstract wall art, and plants by large windows

Picture/ Wall Art Installation

Heavy mirrors, canvas collections, and framed prints need the right anchors and the right height. We measure, lay out gallery walls on paper first, and hang each piece level and secure on drywall, plaster, tile, or block.

Cozy bedroom with beige curtains, sunlit window, white bedding, wooden dresser, and potted plant

Window Treatments, Curtains & Drapes

Florida sun fades fabric and floors fast. We install curtain rods, drapery hardware, blinds, and shutters at the height and width that make windows look larger, block harsh glare, and operate smoothly for years.

Accessible bathroom shower with grab bars, fold-down seat, and white tiled walls

Grab Bar Installation

A grab bar only protects someone if it is anchored into solid backing. We locate studs or add blocking, mount bars at practical heights in tubs, showers, and beside toilets, and seal tile penetrations against moisture.

Wall-mounted TV in a bright living room with a sofa, rug, and large window.

TV Mounting

A mounted TV should feel built in, not bolted on. We choose the correct mount for your wall and screen size, find the framing, set a comfortable viewing height, and manage cables for a clean, finished look.

Modern beige bathroom with a freestanding tub, shower, towel hook, and potted plant.

Wall Hooks, Towel Bars, etc.

Loose towel bars and sagging hooks usually trace back to weak anchors. We install hooks, towel bars, toilet paper holders, shelves, and coat racks with fasteners matched to the wall behind them, so they stay put.

Modern white kitchen with marble backsplash, wood flooring, and built-in stove under stainless steel range hoods

Appliance Modifications

New appliances rarely fit old openings. We trim, widen, and rebuild cabinet openings, adjust panels and fillers, and rework trim so a larger refrigerator, dishwasher, or microwave slides in cleanly and looks original.

faq

frequently asked
questions.

These are the questions Brandon homeowners ask most before booking a furniture repair, cabinet fix, or decor installation. If yours is not here, send it with your estimate request and we will answer directly.

  • Is it worth repairing furniture instead of replacing it?

Usually, yes, when the frame is solid wood or quality construction. Repairing a well-built piece costs less than buying comparable new furniture, keeps sentimental items in the family, and often produces a stronger result than modern flat-pack replacements.

  • Can you repair furniture in my home, or does it go to a shop?

Many repairs happen right in your home, including loose joints, touch-ups, cabinet fixes, and hardware work. Larger jobs such as full refinishing or reupholstery usually leave for our workspace, and we explain which approach fits during the estimate.

  • How does a virtual estimate work?

You send photos and a short description through our estimate form. Creola Design reviews the details, asks follow-up questions if needed, and emails a quote. Once you accept, we add your project to the schedule in Brandon, FL.

  • Will refinishing ruin the value of an antique?

It can if done carelessly, which is why we test before stripping anything. Often cleaning, repairing, and reviving the original finish protects value better than full refinishing, and we recommend the least invasive option that works.

  • Can pet-damaged furniture actually be fixed?

Most pet damage is repairable. Chewed wood can be rebuilt and shaped, clawed arms can be patched or reupholstered, and scratched finishes can be blended. We assess how deep the damage goes and suggest the most durable fix.
